Lauren Donati

Co-Owner | Head Baker

Lauren started baking at the ripe age of 10 years old when she received her very first Kitchenaid mixer. Her mom noticed the talent and enthusiasm she showed towards baking at a young age and encouraged her to follow her dreams. Her career began at Johnson and Wales University where she gained the skills and relationships necessary to survive in the baking industry.  She moved to Detroit, MI to complete an internship and form a platform for her future success. She spent 2 years at Avalon International Breads before moving back to Boston, MA to further her career at Clear Flour Bread where she achieved senior baker status.  Her experience and knowledge gained through these two companies has been an integral component to her success.

Margaret Shimek

Co-Owner | Store Manager

Meg’s passion for baking and small business entrepreneurship began a few short years ago. It wasn’t until recently that she discovered an adoration to this baking community.  Having practiced for 7 years as a Registered Dental Hygienist, Meg's work ethic, skill, and dedication to serving people has been an essential asset to our team.  As a midwesterner that’s driven by hard work and success, she has succeeded in every aspect of our business.
